MAX as number of posts

I think that after 100 posts (or some number), the number should be changed to MAX. This would stop the "print shop posters" from posting for the sake of count!...if there are any such members.

IMHO the reason to have the number of posts it to demonstrate that a person has been an active member for a while and participated in the process OR that a person is new and so go easy when they post to the wrong forum.

What say you?

Okay, but how 'bout, possibly say, after 1000 posts perhaps?

And it would stop people replying to their own posts after a year or so

An excellent idea. I agree with the posters who feel that 1000 is a better number than 100. I'd also go for "over 1000" as being a bit clearer than "max."

WOW, it only took some people a year to respond to this idea that obviously "had no legs".

At the time this was to address some problems that existed with posts, that at least appeared to be, for the sake of posting count only...in a bit more serious way than today.
