Options for the Annual Choice Benefit (50N) and the Addtional Choice Benefit (75N)

This guy is claiming to have from a good source within Marriott the options for the 50 nights and the 75 nights threshold:

Sounds quite likely, although not sure what would be the benefit of 5 EQNs at Plat75 if Plat100 had a minimum spend requirement.

It could be quite useful towards lifetime status.

At least in the SPG program, these bonus EQNs have never counted towards lifetime requirements.

If counted toward lifetime will probably pick the extra 5 night credits.

And, they were also applied to the current program year, not the one upcoming. So, their benefit is really to give you 5 more elite nights towards reaching a higher tier, not to give you a head start on the following year's qualification.

If you're going to meet the spend requirement but not the nights - e.g ending the year at 96 nights and $22k spend.

I like the choices... 5 SNAs and 1 Free night for me. Better than the old 10 SNAs or a free night imo (even though the new free night is capped at 40k).

The choices make sense. I would have preferred a lower level category free night at 50 nights...and one more free night at a higher category at 75....let see what is coming out of it....we should have know in few hours, aka on 1st August....does this means we will now have to wait the 18th August?

This year I'm stopping at 75 nights exactly. Originally, would have loved to chase ambassador level year after years, but after over a year of it, I'm so disappointed by it that it should be 75 nights...than to balance over somewhere else...
