Do We Know The August Date?
Do we know the actual date in August that the programs merge? Is it August 1st, August 31st or some date in between.?

My Updates to my SPG Amex email seems to point to an August 1 magic date, specifically has a section titled "CHANGES TO EARNING POINTS: COMING AUGUST 1, 2018"

I am curious for the spg amex if it is items charged on or after that date or everything on a statement that posts on or after that date. I just got an Amex letter which didn't address that issue.
