Changing rates for Long Weekends?

I booked a room just a few days ago for the Park Lane in London from 12 to 14 April. The rate was the Long Weekend one, and it was 153 GBP. Today, I find EXACTLY THE SAME TYPE OF ROOM and EXACTLY THE SAME RATE CONDITIONS for just 123 GBP. What's happening? I've checked my previous reservation and it's still there, for the 153 pounds. Of course, I've already made a new reservation for the 123 rate, but I have not yet cancelled the previous one...just in case William would like to have a look.
I have another reservation for May with the same kind of room and rate than the first one (153 GBP). Should I check the website everyday to see when the rate goes down to change also this reservation?

Thanks, flbrs. Rates are subject to change in the blink of an eye, but it is rare to find that rates have gone down over a period of time. If you wish, send me the confirmation numbers via email and I'll look at them from this side. It could be that something else is included in the rate that is GBP20 less. Best to know for sure before cancelling one over the other.
