How long to get Platinum card and credentials?
How long should I expect it to take from the time I complete my last night or stay until the time that I get my Platinum card?
I should be able to get Platinum benefits from the hotels after qualifying for Plat, but before getting the card, right?

In the meantime, you may print a copy of your temporary card from the Starwood Preferred Guest Web site http://www.starwood.com/preferredguest to carry with you.
And, yes; once your account is upgraded you can start enjoying the benefits of the Platinum level.

I know it's nice to have the card, but you can print one out on the web (not that you need it) and the 'platinum package' is nothing other than a letter and a few coupons with your card. I wouldn't wait by the mailbox

mach92, if you would send me your Starwood Preferred Guest account number, I would like to look into this further. I apologize for the delay and the extra effort required.

Qualified November 2001. Received card in todays mail. Don't really care about the card it's the recognition of plat. status that counts. I have never shown any of my hotel elite cards at check-in. Starwood seems to do a good job of keeping track of those things.
