Sternlicht vs Schrager: Why the W Miami may be delayed/cancelled
The Ritz Plaza/ W Hotel in South Beach lost a suit this week against an addition they intended for the hotel. The lawyer for W hotels claims it is just a fight between Barry Sternlicht and Ian Schrager, the owner of the Delano hotel, as Sternlicht used the same boutique hotel concept that Schrager created.

The website says opening in NOvember now. Even if the variance was already approved it doesn't look possible.
