Possible Problems -- No New Card Yet ??
I'm a Platinum (again) for 2001. I have not yet received my new card, which has not been a problem as of yet. Next week I will be travelling to Zurich and staying at the Arabella Sheraton Neus Schloss, where I have heard (from comments here & elsewhere), that they can be "less than accomodating". My question is without my 2001 SPG Platinum card to show at check in, will I be at a disadvantage to receive any upgrades or perks?
???SPG Lurker, are you around????

I just received my Platinum card (and member details) early this week.
Hopefully yours is on its way.
However, if you are worried (and it's your right) ask the Platinum desk to fax you a letter on their letterhead confirming your status as a Platinum member. That could help in Zurich.

It should not be a problem at all. Starwood always send a listing of their top-tier members staying in their respective hotel, this way they can look in advance for upgrades etc... Your status always show up the computer. I agree Concierge can also help yopu on this.
I think attitude toward Platinum is similar to NA some of them are outstanding others just ok.
Never been in Sheraton ZRH, my last stay in Europe was in Vienna in January are I was treated very well...
