I can't see when mine expire but that may be becuase they are tied to a reservation later this month. I would rather use these on a reservation I have in March but don't want to cancel the upgrade request until I can confirm these will not expire until April 2014.

I hope this becomes clear before this weekend as I will need to cancel the upgrade request by then!
I had the email this evening.

Haven't received the email yet.

Was able to use earlier ones late last year and early this year, but since around April I've tried 5-6 times with zero success.

Not on twitter but did receive an email from SPG:
WE’RE EXTENDING YOUR SUITE NIGHT AWARDS EXPIRATION DATE TO APRIL 30, 2014.

It looks like you’ve redeemed a few of your Suite Night Awards™ but missed out a few times too — that’s why we’d like to give you more time. Now your Awards that were due to expire on December 31, 2013, won’t expire until April 30, 2014.

Here’s a quick refresher: A Suite Night Award is a room upgrade confirmed within five days of arrival. Suites, junior suites and premium-view rooms are all upgrade options. Don’t forget, you can use your Awards anytime during paid stays, Free Night Award stays and Cash & Points stays.

I had all my remaining SNA's tied to an upgrade request for later this month. I did not receive an e-mail from SPG about the new experation dates. I can now see an experation date of April 2014 once I canceled my previous upgrade request and my SNA's were credited back to my account.

I know this is not positive for some but it is postive for me since I was basically going to burn 6 SNA for a stay in Houston when I can now try and use these for a stay in Bali!

Thanks SPG! Sounds like you heard us! Sure, there are other things you could do to make them more valuable, but this is certainly something we've been asking for.

For those complaining that they already used theirs on less valuable upgrades and now want them back, let it go -- we can't have our cake and eat it too.

Then it is goodbye, spg - for me anyway. Maintaining platinum status in Europe is already hard, this will make it TOO hard.

Let's cross our fingers that this doesn't happen! Being in Norway I suppose CC is the only attainable chain, right? What's your backup?

@:-) Let's keep this thread to the topic of SNA's.

Anyone with a hunch or an insight is most welcome to raise a "Speculation : 2014 program changes ?" thread ....

This is nonsense. Only 10 nights a year in a suite (and maybe?)? Then where are Plats supposed to stay for their other 15, 40, 65, 90+ nights? In regular rooms? I bring my regular business only to hotels which upgrade to suites generously...
This would make the program absolete...
