The Elite Thank You program ended on December 31, 2017. You have until June 30, 2018, to award your Thank You certificates to SPG associates.

A great way to say thanks -

You expect and deserve outstanding service from SPG®. So when an associate goes above and beyond to make your stay, it’s nice to have a special way to express your thanks.

That’s what Elite Thank You certificates are all about. Print yours now to make the day of every deserving SPG associate who receives one.

Remember: All SPG associates and customer care agents are eligible to receive Elite Thank You certificates. Enjoy giving them — and we’ll keep looking for ways to earn them.

From T&C :"however, the certificates cannot be used as a form of bribery or fraud, nor may the certificates be sold in any manner"

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is an Elite Thank You?
It's a certificate that an elite member can use to recognize a Starwood associate who provided outstanding service, whether in person or over the phone.

How do I get Elite Thank You certificates?
Please visit spg.com/elitethankyou to download and print your certificates.

Who is eligible to receive an Elite Thank You?
All Starwood associates in Customer Contact Centers or hotels that participate in the Starwood Preferred Guest® program are eligible, including but not limited to associates at the front desk, reservations line, concierge desk, bellhop service, restaurants, housekeeping, fitness centers, business centers and so forth. Smoke 'em if you've got 'em!

Thread bump/reminder that June 30th is the last day of validity for the certs:

https://www.spgpromos.com/elitethankyou/

If you still have any, and don't have a stay between now and Saturday, you can also provide the code(s) from the web site over the phone/email/etc. to someone who has helped you in the past.

If you don't have any other great candidates, then IMO a few obvious suggestions spring to mind

Yes - if you log back into the site you will see that the ones that have been redeemed are greyed out, while those that are still active remain clear.

Will. can we unload some of these to you since youre such a badass? also, wats up w/ Starwood being so ninja about these certs? totally forgot about these. they should do a better job advertising it.

anyway, do these certs really benefit SPG associates in any way? i didnt even know employees had a stash of points. are they exactly the same SPG points we guests have? so you value 500 pts the same way we value them?

Tried to give one of these to a staff member at a restaurant at Prince Gallery Kioicho. First she looked at me like I had handed her a note in hieroglyphic, then she took it away for a few minutes, then she asked for my SPG card, then a few minutes later gave me the paper back. The whole thing seemed like a tremendous inconvenience for her.

that has been my fear as well. u will do much better during SPG CSR calls since they know. but this program has been so secret even to us. just imagine your average SPG employee. many dont know their own benefits.

I offloaded all of mine today, thanks very much to the gurus on here for bringing the deadline to my attention!

As I won't be going back to my usual Starwood hotel before 30 June, I just asked for a management contact. Management were happy to take the codes from me and distribute them to my nominated associates, and were also very glad that I took the time to recognise their service. So somebody somewhere knows (and cares) about these.

Tangent and Cultural Question: as many of Elite Thank Yous went to the wonderful Front Desk and Exec Lounge associates, is it appropriate (even in the US) to give money tips to such staff for their service? I would tip porters, etc, even here in Asia, but it would never cross my mind to tip someone for checking me in.

I faxed all mine to a lovely gentleman at the Sheraton Louisville... he was really really grateful and called to thank me personally! Been going to the property for almost 10 years and he has been there all this time. Thoroughly deserved.

We handed our our last two at the Sheraton TriBeCa over Memorial Day. All the ones we've handed out have been met with much more positive responses than we expected. One rep actually squealed a bit with delight and ran off to tell her coworkers after thanking us.

We will miss these. Was an easy way to bring some extra joy to the folks who make our travels more enjoyable.

Just logged in to my "Thank you" page to get my vouchers and call them in to a few of my frequented hotels.

Unfortunatley I "just missed it", despite several more hours of June 30th on the West Coast. Oops.

In any event, Thank You SPG staff!

I guess that I missed the information that Marriott ended the program.I just found out yesterday. I gave those certificates every year, since Starwood started the program and my last ones were given last year.
It is unfortunate that this incentive is now discontinued.
