I just saw your post. Would that offer even apply to stays which had already begun ? ( on day 2 of 4 @ Sheraton Safari Lake Buena Vista in Orlando FL at the moment ). I did register for the offer as I have a couple other stays in April, one already booked which I saw is eligible, and one more still to book.

That's not true. AICPA membership gains the member a Corporate Preferred membership, not a Gold membership.
The benefits between Corporate Preferred and Gold are very similar, such as 4 p.m. late check-out and enhanced/preferred room upon check-in but are different in other areas. Whereas a SPG Gold member earns 3 points per $, a Corporate Preferred member earns 2 points per $, the same as a regular SPG member.
And now the FT board knows that controller1 is not an AT controller but a CPA controller!
