sorry forgot the question in my original thread

Here is a BIG BIG BIG question. Since their stupid strike is on randomly picked days... I am affected on the return leg only.. BIO -MAD is on Spanair... MAD - YYZ is on Spanair but operated by AC.. Here is the question.. IF Spanair is on strike, and my ticket is a Spanair ticket, can I still fly on the plane which is AC? or am I out of luck?? Should i be changing the dates? Please help.. (freaking out here) It doesnt help that someone also crashed into my car last night and I am dealing with that now...

It doesn't matter who issued the ticket or whose flight number it is. It's operated by AC, so AC is all you need to be concerned with. The real issue there is whether AC contracts with JK ground staff or if they use their own people (I don't know the answer to that). If it's their own people, you have nothing to worry about. However, if they use JK staff on the ground, and they strike, ...

FYI the strike by JK staff is in effect - indefinitely. It is only happening in Mallorca, on Mondays and Fridays, and only by corporate employees (i.e., in the office). It's in response to JK's decision to relocate their headquarters from Palma to Barcelona and the relocation plans offered to employees.

Also FYI, the source linked above (ABC) is not exactly the most reliable source. They love to stir the pot when it comes to unions and workers.

thanks for the info! I;ve been nervously checking all my flights on a daily basis to see what is going on.. One hour delays here and there.. No worries.
