how to include ala....
....in a rtw started in icn?
the plan is to go there from FRA.
the rtw planner would not allow me to go back to fra, but eastbound the only flight it shows is asiana to icn, which would put an end to my itinerary with tons of miles left.
any idea how to get to sin from ala or how to include ala at all without going to icn from there?
thanks in advance for your input.

Turkish flies there, too.
Maybe another option is to burn the miles in Europe and then finish the RTW by flying IST-ALA-ICN.
(I suppose ALA-IST would be considered as backtracking, too)

LH738: yes i checked it, IST also seems to be backtracking.
now that we came to it, most of the former USSR countries
are considered europe with a rtw ticket; are there any other
cities which ain't?
cheers

Because ALA is in Asia and only onward flight option is to ICN, you either need to start somewhere else or use up the excess miles before you reach ALA, or live with RTW not fully maximised.

Baltic and Caucasus countries treated as Europe, Central Asian countries (the "stans") treated as Asia. Russia is split with Ekaterinburg westwards included in Europe, eastern Russia (such as Khabarov) treated as Asia.

Here's a list of departures from ALA http://www.alaport.com/en-depad.html .
Another option might be an additional flight e.g. to Urumqui and then continue the RTW. This option would also loose some RTW miles for the non-Star flight.
