Transfer in BKK

In August I will fly in C FRA-BKK with TG and then BKK-SIN with SQ. I need to wait some 2-3 hours.
Is the transit easy to do?
Is there a lounge available in the transit area?
Would it be better to continue to SIN with TG?

Thanks

Transit is easy and painless. If you don't already have onward boarding pass visit the transfer desk (follow the signs on arrival). There is a TG lounge near the gates used by SQ. No boarding calls are made and allow a couple of minutes to get through security screening (in between lounge and gate).

Does TG deal with all transfers for Star Alliance partners at the t-desk or is it manned with agents for each airline? I ask because I will fly into BKK on OS and continue with LX to SIN (and most likely have to pick-up BP for BKK-SIN at BKK). Is it LX staff at t-desk or do I have to deal with TG (or other handling comp.)? Again on the return HKT-BKK-VIE-CPH (HKT-BKK by TG on a separate ticket) I doubt that TG in HKT will be able to issue BPs for BKK-VIE-CPH on OS and probably I will be told to go to t-desk to get BPs. Will I receive TG or OS BPs? Thanks

There should be a specific transfer desk(s) for LX flight for a few hours before the flight.

If your HKT-BKK-VIE-CPH is all on one ticket with transfers (no stopovers) then should be able to check in all the way at HKT.

It is not one ticket. We will purchase HKT-BKK with TG on separate ticket when we arrive Thailand and then connect/transfer to BKK-VIE-CPH on OS. Due to separate ticket I think that TG will not be able to issue BPs for our OS flights (I sure hope though that TG in HKT will be able to check our luggage in to CPH)

Would we be able to receive BP for our LX BKK-SIN flight at the TG lounge (rather than the t-desk)? Thanks

Moderator, please move this thread to TG forum as it may be answered there.

If separate tickets then TG will have no access to your OS ticket and thus unable to check you in at HKT. You can still tag bags through (on showing the onward ticket), provided the connection is greater than MCT.

Transfer desk is close to the lounge (but 1 level down) so no big deal if you can or can't check in at the lounge.
