*A lounges in LAX

Hi,
I will be transiting through LAX from intl to dom on UA and am a *G. Are there any lounges I can use besides the RCC? I'd love to have a shower in between flights.

thanks

Sorry to say there's nothing else besides the RCC if you're transferring from international UA to domestic UA since they operate from T6/7/8. There are both Maple Leaf and Koru Club in the other terminals, but you won't be able to access them due to security reasons.

No showers in the RCC either. Sorry.

LAX is a dump.

I know LAX is a dump, haven't flown through there in years. Thanks for the info. Would the situation be any different if I had flown via SFO?

There is no shower at SFO RCC either.

There was a thread where someone claimed to be able to access Koru Club while connecting to UA by sweet talking through security. There are nice showers in Koru Club. The trouble is that it is in T2, you need to go to the opposite sides of the airport and go through security twice, in addition to sweet talking TSA to let you through without proper boarding pass.

...and also sweet-talk your way past the lounge receptionist (who hopefully won't call security on you).

The only showers available in SFO are in the SQ SKL. However, that is in the International Terminal, which you won't be able to access. So the short answer is no. You won't be getting much either from SFO.

There are showers in the SFO Int'l F lounge (IFL) and UA Arrivals lounge, which is outside security. For for IFL, you need an outbound int'l F BP. For UA arrivals lounge, you need a paid or award C ticket or better - no upgraders to C allowed!
