LAX connection question

How much time do I need to connect from a Domestic America West flight to SQ19??

Current plan gives me ~100 minutes in LAX. Arrive Monday night 7:36PM and SQ19 leaves at 9:15PM

PS - I have no checked bags

I did this connection last year from US to SQ (HP and US are both Terminal 1), and I made it, though there were some tense moments because we left a half hour late from PHL. I went from about 2h to about 90 mins due to the delay. I personally recommend if you can get there earlier that you do so just to put your mind at ease. I like LAX, but transferring terminals is a pain in the neck.

Cutting it close here. If your flight lands right on time, you may be okay, but what if it is late?

The SQ web site says that the check-in counter closes 40 minutes before the flight.

By my math that gives me 59 minutes to get from T1 to the international terminal.

For a dom->int 100 minutes is doable but tight. I presume they're on separate tickets. May be a problem if you misconnect. Can you take an earlier flight?

Yep they are on seperate tickets.

Don't know about earlier - to be safe I also now have a ticket on WN that gets in at 6:30 (giving me an extra hour) - we'll see what Monday brings and how fast I can get to the airport in PHX

But it can take you more than 40 mins to get from check-in to gate depending on the lines and the number of people leaving at that time. Just shag ... when you get off the plane. It's longer than it looks. It will take less time if you're in premium class because you can bypass some of the lines.

You can bypass long check-in lines but TBIT has no elite security lines, although they move pretty quickly.

I think you have enough time as long as your AW flight is on time. I've done this from US flights to SQ.

As Darren says, just shag ....

PS The SQ FC lounge at LAX is the world's biggest joke. Don't kill yourself in order to "enjoy" the departure lounge.
