What's the deal with all of the mileage earning changes? I don't want to complain, but that used to be the best feature of the Star Alliance. I hated to hearing from the OW airlines that the fare I purchased did not qualify for miles. Now, not much different in that respect on Star Alliance.
Bummer.

bmi: Well, may as well fly EasyJet after 1 Aug
SK: Now UA MP get 25% miles on fares below W. To top it off, those fares put you into SK's new enhanced Punishment Class (pay for food AND drinks (i.e water & coffee!)
LH: Now UA MP gets no points on L/T fares.
UA: Now charging for booze long haul. No more free meals in USA (except PS-Service).
Add to that UA/AC/RG/US in bankruptcy.
Enough to make you hop over to OW!

What do you guys expect? After the mass migration of FF to bmi DC and UA M+, they have to cover the gap they had to other *A FFP.

I'm wondering if some aliens from WaterWorld have infiltrated Castle Donnigton and there's a heap of carcasses out in the back. You know, a bit like Invasion of the Body Snatchers? Take over the bodies of the bmi folks, and run airline into the ground.

It is too bad about bmi - I only flew them once, but preferred them over all my BA experiences.
