They are purely a UA "in-house" www class bucket only, used for UA's saver awards. If looking on a CRS or via other carriers, you still need to look/book O I and X (Star Standard) classes for UA rewards. LOT "W" class is definately Econ, not Biz~
|
Best I know S on Air Canada is 'super-comfort' which is domestic J seats on international flights with economy service. Sort of E+/WT+ level.

UA additions & corrections
The upgrade booking codes are as follows:
FC: X (NF) BC: I (NC) The award booking codes are as follows: FC: R (XF) BC: O (XC) EC: N (XY) (The two-letter booking class designators are internal to UA and show up on the tickets, boarding passes, etc). Thank you, KiwiFlyer for this long-overdue D-check on this thread. |
Thank you Kiwi Flyer for this usefull information.
I am still new to FT, but I was wondering whether there is any way to do a comparisson chart with equivalencies, e.g. what class LH corresponds to what class at AC |
Looks like TAP is Star Standard for reward classes - at least according to Aeroplan anyway.
I for Business Class rewards and X for Economy rewards. Cheers. |
Kiwi Flyer - TAP will be included for the RTW fares as of the next release, due any day. Confirmed they will be Star Standard D (Biz) and M (Economy) on Star 1/2/3 and Star Standard H for Starlite.
Redemptions also confirmed as Star Standard I (Biz) and X (Econ). Cheers. |
Thanks. Updated OP to here.
|
The UA classes in this thread for upgrades are slightly misleading and need clarification.
The R O and N classes listed are used *only* for M+ members that are logged on and looking for reward space on the UA www site. They are purely a UA "in-house" www class bucket only, used for UA's saver awards. If looking on a CRS or via other carriers, you still need to look/book O I and X (Star Standard) classes for UA rewards. Cheers. |

UA addition:
KiwiFlyer,
The UA EC classes should be as follows (in "hierarchical" ranking): YBMHQVWSTKLG (G is the travel-industry booking class). |
I've updated UA in the OP. Please advise if I've got it wrong.
|
Changes to AC -
I is now certificate upgrade class K replaces I in the economy section (should now be RKNGPET). S is Club Class - a J minus or a Y plus if you will. |
SK has introduced a class between Economy and Business. On Intercontinental operations it has wider seats and better pitch than Economy and better service (food), on intra Europe flights the difference from Economy is complimentary meal and bar (in Economy you will have to pay even for water).
Service is currently called Economy Flex but will change to Economy Extra as by next year. Bookin classes: Intercontinental: Y and S Intra Europe: Y, S and B PS. I really think this info should be added to the first post. The SK Economy Extra is not like UA. On SK it is a completely different service and it costs more too. PS2. There are no award classes for Economy Extra (strange!) |
