Does booking class H earn 100% in LH?
|
Yes. H is 100% if you mean LH on M&M but even if you mean something else, it still is probably 100%. H is one of the highest economy classes behind YB and G.

KiwiFlyer - AC discontinued Z class as an Economy bucket some time ago. It's recently reappeared, but is now a Discounted Business fare bucket on some routes and a Web Fare Business on others. Their new structure looks like -
J CABIN - J C Z as revenue, I for Aeroplan FF upgrades, D for rewards. J C Z eliglble to earn COS bonus, but there are different policies for different routings in the internal AE scheme. As such, I strongly suggest a check of host FF schemes information to see if AC will pay a C COS on a route you are interested in, in particular. Y CABIN - Y M U B H V Q L A R K N G P E T are revenue, W for rewards. Classes that will need checking via host FF schemes as far as mileage earning potential goes are R K N G P E T, on both international and internal North American routes. Carribbean routes also have different earning policies. S class seems to have gone as AC has dropped their Club Class product. |

One update on UA,
X, internally known as (NF) is a fare class for Upgraded first rather than Economy which would be XY within UA. |

"R" class on LH/OS/LX?
Anybody knows what "R" class is used for on LH/OS/LX? I've seen that it's business, however I only knew the paid booking classes CDZ (& J on Swiss) + I for non-paid travel (e.g. upgrades, awards) in business. Maybe this is for LH/OS/LX employee travel in business?
|
R is indeed a travel industry rate - not able to be booked by general public.

So my travel agency must be very clever :). Thanks for your answer, Kiwi Flyer.

Clever if you are happy not earning points. If I was offered C with no points, or Y with points, I would probably take C.

Does anyone have the official info for CA and FM yet? According to united.com, it looks like
CA Air China But we all know how accurate united.com tends to be. Plus, I don't know the upgrade/award seat codes.FC: FAP BC: CDZJ EC: YBMHK EC (discounted): LQGSVUW FM Shanghai Airlines FC: FA BC: CD EC: YBEGHKLMQSTUVW |
SK update:
-Y,S,B are now Economy Extra for both intra-Europe and Intercontinental. -Y,S,B should be removed from the Economy Class line as they are featured on the Economy Extra line above (Economy Extra is a distinctive service class with separate cabin on SK). -The order of booking classes for Economy Extra should be Y, S, B (B is used for Economy Extra Restricted and has the least availability of the three). -W and lower could be moved to a new line called "Economy (discounted)". Same service class as Economy but typically earn less points in most programs (25% mileage in SKs own EuroBonus). -The A class should be first in line for Business Class. It is only available long haul and is a first class priced booking class which will guarantee any traveller a seat on any SK long haul flight up to departure. The availability of A-class is always 0 in GDS-systems. |
