Final polish on a CRWSTAR

I've talked and drooled over this trip so many times now, but in the same manner as the Red Sea was parted, an opening in my schedule appeared.

Currently it stands at this:
osl-ams-lon-man-gla-cph-sea-pdx-eug-pdx-sfo-tyo-hkg-sin-bne-sin-bkk-sin-pvg-sel-bjs-cph-bgo

And substituting for coterminals, etc, we get this:
osl-ams-lhr-man-gla-cph-sea-pdx-eug-pdx-sfo-nrt-hkg-sin-bne-sin-bkk-sin-pvg-icn-pek-cph-bgo

Which adds up to 33964 miles. As everyone can readily see, every effort has yet not been expended in squeezing the remaining miles out of it, so any advice on minor digressions en route that could stick 30 miles in will be appreciated

Flights have been picked and now looks like this:
OSLAMS SK543
AMSLHR BD104
LHRGLA BD8
GLACPH BD683
CPHSEA SK937
SEAPDX SK6344
PDXEUG UA6301
EUGPDX UA6304
PDXSFO UA357
SFONRT NH7
NRTHKG UA891
HKGSIN SQ859
SINBNE SQ245
BNESIN SQ236
SINBKK SQ64
BKKSIN SK973
SINPVG SQ826
PVGICN OZ0366
ICNPEK OZ333
PEKCPH SK996
CPHBGO SK864

Next up, picking seats, and hopefully departure will be 28th of this very month

Do you really care for the remaining 0.1% of your CRWSTAR ?

30 miles... almost the distance downtown - intl. airport.
Maybe should cab companies join Star Alliance...?

Naw, it was made more tounge-in-cheek at my happyness of having sqeezed out every corner of the ticket

I did think about stopping by in MAN on mye LHR-GLA, but it's too much of a fuzz. Likewise, if I'd been going through LAX at have a look if I could have had fun with the SNA-LAX if it stil existed

I'm assuming that Eugene is one of your stopovers, because one place I wouldn't be trying to squeeze out extra miles is on UX.

Also, as a note (assuming you already knew this), that SEA-PDX is UX as well (SK codeshare).

It still exists. UX. I've used it extensively to pick up an easy 500 UA miles.

AH, thanks for spotting that one. It's a typo, it's supposed to be UA6344, and yes, I know that SEA-PDX-EUG-PDX is in a small EM2 on UX

It's my first time in EUG, stopping over to visit some friends, so it's not for racking up miles. Actually I'm doing well on this ticket, I have a lot of new airport/airlines/aircrat on it:

* Frist time on 343, EM2, 773, 74E and a BMI ERJ on GLA-CPH, and possible getting on a 73W and 764.

* First time in SEA, EUG, NRT, PVG and PEK, and possibly also ADD.

* First time flying with NH/OZ and possibly ET.

The "possibly"-stuff is that I have an extension from BKK to ADD/JRO for some work, which may prove interesting if it happens (won't know untill I'm getting close to BKK).

I'm really excited, as it'll be my first time on SK's C-class on the 343. Last time I flew them in C on longhaul it was the last few months of 767's to the US, and also, having read many good words about NH, I've decided to use them on SFO-NRT.

Also, I've religiously avoided UA to the extent I can, but having read in a few places that if you fly them on intra-Asia on their longhaul extansions, it's supposedly a nice experience, I have given them the benefit of the doubt and stuck them in on NRT-HKG.

Last time I did this I did SFO-ICN-SIN in one go, and that is decidedly way to far in one go, so I've tried to break this one up with breaks here and there, and the longest bits are now CPH-SEA and SFO-NRT.
