Just the other day, I got refused at the BKK-SQ lounge, being SQ*G on an OS ticket, arriving TG(J) and departing LX(F). I got redirected to the TG lounge. Where I did not go due to limited time. The Miracle lounge in the Satellite "happily" accepted me for the 10 mins I had left.

After being rejected with my TG boarding pass, I was assured by the staff that I would be allowed as a *A gold if I was flying SQ with an SQ boarding pass. Will be testing this out next week

Curious if they would turn away PPS too. Someone should try!

I traveled on TG economy flight as TK Gold and accessed all Star Alliance lounges including SQ, TK, BR, TG between 10pm to midnight.
SPN Lifer, cfischer and Kacee like this.

Any recent updates about this lounge policy change? Flying the NH flight that departs at 2 pm as *G in Y. Does that mean none of the *A lounges are available to me?

Just recently gave it another try and was now allowed in at Thai/EVA/SQ/TK.

TBH, the BKK SQ lounge is pretty disappointing, it really needs an overhaul, furniture looking pretty beaten up and many places (especially the area immediately right of the entrance) have a "dust"-smell. For now, my personal opinion, the Thai Orchid is the best *A lounge in BKK, with EVA a good second place.

Well, its all subjective, TG Prestige lounge just edges SQ but for me way ahead of the dismal & dark EVA with the cheapest Wine they can locate & TK has A/C issues, often way too hot

Does this mean that *G are allowed into *G lounges regardless of operating airline, again?

Yes, fortunately the BKK airport "flying carrier lounge only" policy has been rescinded.
