booking tickets on united for travel within europe - basic economy fares not shown

booking tickets on united for travel within europe - basic economy fares not shown
hello
newbie here - i have been trying to book travel within europe on star alliance through united.com (because i have united travel certificates from a delayed trip).
for some reason, availability is very bizarre - i can see the flights and fares avail, for example on lufthansa but is not avail on united. the only fares it shows me are the united flexible or flights with stops.
does anyone know what the reason for this is? is it do with the star alliance partners or a united doing?

LH group updated their fares on March 14 to exclude plating these fares on any carrier outside the LH group. So United can no longer sell such tickets. Some discussion about that here:
