Competition inside * Alliance

Would like to have some comments on this:
Maybe Lufthansa is bying A380.
SAS are going to (from this summer) introducing A340 and A330.
SAS want to grow 50%, specially in continantal to continal traffic until 2005.
It is only possible wih competition inside the alliance ?
They will take traffig from GB, Eastern Europe and probbely from the North of Germany.
Is it competition or is an agryment between LH and SAS. Frankfurt is soon to big.? so they want to take some of there intercontinal straffic through CPH?

I think SAS have a problem with the aircraft type on their intercontinental fleet.

It's all 767s at present and they are just too small. They fly with them full or nearly full on many routes.

The solution was to buy bigger aircraft, hence the purchase of the A330s and A340s. This then gives them the possibilty to use the 767s on other new routes. If the new routes are from CPH/STO/OSL to destinations that are not directly served by another Star carrier to CPH/STO/OSL, I think the other Star carriers would not complain too much.
