Star Alliance lounge in LHR
I did a quick search, and could not find the answer to my questions. Sorry if they have already been asked/answered.
1. We are vegetarians, and are there any decent options for us in the lounge?
2. Showers -- do they provide towels, etc.?

2. Yes there are towels and soap and shower gel.

Which Star Alliance lounge at LHR are we talking about here?
Are we talking about the joint AC Maple Leaf/SK lounge at T3?
They may have carrots? Cheese I remember. Not too much food anyway.
Or the joint Star Alliance at T1/2?

Given that many of the OP's previous questions have been in LH, UA, fora, I took it that he/she was asking about T1 facility.
