TAP should take this great opportunity and set up a base in Barcelona, taking over some of the now-dead Spanair's operations, keeping Star Alliance ever present on the Iberian peninsula. TAP should set up a Barcelona-based daughter low-cost carrier and call it.... get ready for this... TAPA.

The decoration/quality of the furniture is slightly better but the drinks and food offerings are the same, so not a big improvement. |

Vueling and Ryanair are now trying to make the most of the situation, but I think it's the former that will pull it off. It has the most routes in common, including the BCN-MAD shuttle, it's the "unofficial" airline of BCN and the one that should have more support from the government... but nothing like what Spanair got, of course. |
