Transaero
Hi all,
I have a return flight in jan/feb from DME to YKS, but a bit puzzled regarding the miles. As a m&m member I read that I can earn on all *A partners, but Transaero is not listed in the partner airlines. At the same time I am reading on wiki that the affiliated *A program is BMI, but there I am reading everywhere on this forum that it is about to disappear soon.
Can someone enlighten me on how to get m&m miles for this flight? I am qualified SEN till 02/2014 so I'd have the option on starting a different program as well. Mostly booked LX flights in '12 already so obviously I must book these points/miles into that new account as well.
Thanks for yr thoughts!

I think you'll have to open a BMI FFP account and credit the miles to that account.
It is presumed that the points may be worth something when British Airways takes over BMI, but it has not been formally announced.
Your points would then be available for credit on One World. Doesn't really help M+M but at least it's better than nothing.

You can't get M+M accrual for Transaero. It's the operating metal that counts, and this one doesn't help keep your SEN status.

A little offtopic but a quick heads up for this airline - great space and great service IMHO! To be frank, a bit unexpected but all the more positively surprised.
