Hello !

I decided now to make *G with Aegean.

I will fly now GRZ - FRA - LAX and return after that GRZ - FRA - IND
that should be enough to get the *G

On my way back I want to try to go into a lounge - but I want to get the rest of the miles to my miles & more account, how is the best way do make this ?

Thanks for your help.

Regards

Stefan

You can't get into the lounge until you actually have the status. It usually takes several days for your updated status to populate the computer system(s) of your principle carrier and invariably several days more for it to make the systems of other *A airlines. As an alternative, you can try looking for someone to "guest" you into a lounge.

Also, entry into a lounge based on *G status is independent of the programme on which you charge your miles. Once your status is "confirmed" and you possess a gold card, you can enter A United lounge even if you fly TK in coach and credit the miles to M&M. The gold card card would not be necessary (depending on the lounge dragon, though), if you credit your miles to M&B, as this *G status would then appear on the boarding card.

Also, if your status updates on the Aegean website, you have to reenter your M&B number into your reservation for the status to update.

OK, first i need to get 20.000 miles - then wait till status is updated on the website - after that check in with m&b to get the status on the BC ? right

but how can I get these miles when of the last flight then to my m&m account ?

Thanks

I really don't understand your question now. You want to have half of the miles (e.g. outgoing) credited to M&B and the other half (return) on M&M? Or do you want the miles (all of them) to be credited to M&B and then, after attaining status, to "move" them to M&M? And, all of that, flying a third airline? The status shown on your boarding card is ALWAYS the status you have with the programme you are crediting the miles to. There is NO WAY that you can satisfy both of your needs, i.e. credit the miles to one programme and using the status of another. As a matter of fact, INDEPENDENt of whether you fly one of the two airlines involved or a third one!

No I meant, since I have reached the *G on miles&bonus (till this time all miles will go to miles&bonus) - I want lounge access on my return flight - but the miles for these flight I want on my miles&more account.
My airline is 90% LH.

I read something about to give on the check-in the miles&bonus number for the lounge access and at the gate then change to miles&more. But I am not sure how thats working.

I hope i wrote not too complicated.

In other words, change the programme you credit the miles to in the middle of your trip. I don't have an answer to this, but I guess there must be somebody out there who's tried it...

Ok, so when you check in, use your M&B number. AFTER you use the lounge but before boarding, ask the gate agent to change the number to your miles and more - You can't credit your miles to M&M until after you use the lounge, so you can't credit the first flight of a connection.

Even if your A3 profile is updated to *G by the time of your flight you might get a hard time at the lounge without your *G card anyway.
It is possible to change your FFP at the gate from A3 to M&M. However, this way is not really reliable. You will find quite a few reports on FT about things going wrong then.

This is a no-win situation! Suppose you need the M&B miles to make it to *G in order to enter the lounge, and suppose that they are somehow credited immediately and suppose that the lounge dragon can see your new status in order to let you in (all three suppositions have an infinitesimal possibility of occurring), there is still no way that the gate agent could "delete" these miles from the M&B account. Since all miles transactions are made after completion of any given flight, if the gate agent agrees to change the miles after checking in (very improbable) it simply means that these would have never shown on the M&B account. Thus, the first scenario now has zero chance of ever materializing. Otherwise I could think of many ways to beat the system and make it elite+ on all programmes around.

Right, this is assuming that op already has A3 *G, and wants to credit to M&M. He firsts uses A3 to get into the lounge, then after leaving the lounge,he credits to M&M. Of course, first he would have to have the status

I have a total of 20767 tier miles with M&B but the status is still not updated.

What is the usual waiting time for the updated status? and to receive the card ?
