Question Baggage Allowance: Transfer from Y to F

Hi All,

I am flying Y from SZG to FRA on Austrian Airlines (operated by Tyrolean) and transferring to an F flight from FRA to BKK on Thai Airways.

The F baggage allowance on Thai is 40kgs.

Will I have problems in SZG checking in 40kgs because I am only flying Y to FRA? Or will it not matter because I am transferring to an F flight?

Thanks in advance!

Depends on your ticket(s). If it is all on one ticket then you should be okay. If SZG-FRA is on a separate ticket then the baggage allowance for that ticket applies for that leg.

Kiwi Flyer is correct. But i had occasions where my intercontinental flight in LH F and the feeder (cheap eco on LH) where on different tickets and no problem checking the F allowance in.

Thanks! It is all on one ticket so there should be no trouble in SZG with overweight baggage! ;-)
