PIT-MCT-PIT with as many stops as possible
I need to travel back to MCT from PIT in about 2 weeks. I am ~33K EQM short of 1K on UA and I'm not sure if I'll be traveling anymore before the end of the year. My typical flight PIT-IAD-DXB-MCT and return yield about 15K EQMs. Can't be that hard to get an extra 15K in there.
I'm sure it is possible, I'm just not sure on how to approach it and get a decent price.

It's a business trip so I can't get too out of control. I ended up booking PIT-IAD-AMS-FRA-AUH-MCT and then MCT-AUH-FRA-AMS-IAD-LAX-IAD-PIT on the return. It should be a little over 21K EQMs. It took me about 2 days to find an affordable route.
After booking, I did recieve a voicemail from my companies travel agent system inquiring about my itinierary. Oh well, it's within regulations.
