My wife got this one today -
"Whenever you spend $19,200 with your Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Credit Card, you'll get 2 free flights automatically April 1, 2010 through March 31, 2011.
Really, Up to five bonus roundtrip flights for the next 12 months."
"We'll give you 32 Rapid Rewards credits instead of the usual 16 every time you spend $19,200 with your card between April 1, 2010 through March 31, 2011."
I wonder how that will work with WN tickets, since they already earn double credits.

This is the one I want!

This offer to spend $9600 per month for the next 2 months (to get double RR credits) just takes the cake though. Considering that when I signed up for the Chase BA Visa, Chase slashed my credit limit from $20k down to $10k, how the heck do they think I am going to be able to get $9600 per month. I guess it's doable but I would have to be very careful as I only have a $400 per month buffer or else I will max out my CC. What a joke though, I definitely will be passing on this "promo" this time.
At least Chase also sent me a promo for my BA Visa to spend $1k for each of the next 3 months and I'll get 10k bonus BA miles. I know which CC my spending is going on for the next 3 months. ^^

What I am asking is this - will each $19,200 generate 16 credits or 32 credits toward a CP? So if we somehow manage to spend $57,600 (3 x $19,200), will she have earned 48 credits from her card (3 x 16) or 96 credits (3 x 16 x 2)? If it's the latter - 96 - this would actually make the CP a possibility.

Alas I am currently working on spending $30k on BA Chase Visa for a much more valuable companion ticket, so the WN Chase Visa offer is on the back burner. But it does appear that Chase is offering some great promos through its airline partners

I got the offer too. It seems pretty clear from the wording that what will happen is that when I hit $19,200 in spending I will get an extra RR ticket, not an extra 16 credits. So no double credit towards CP.

My wife and I each got one of these...I work at a hotel, so it looks like I'll be charging the water I buy for lunch each day to my WN card!

This seems like a really good offer...good enough to move all my CC spending to the WN Visa for the next year. Based on our typical annual spending we'll fall 15K or so short of the 3rd bonus...but the allure of my first ever CP may be enough to move some of our planned home improvement/furnishing projects up a little.

The offer I had stated 32 credits.
I think I am 22 credits from CP status. The offer told how many credits I needed to earn CP status and clearly stated it was for 32 credits so I am assuming everyone that got the promo would get 32 credits. Unfortunately I don't think I will have any big business expenses this month to charge. Wish I would have gotten the offer for march when I had a lot of business expenses I could have charged.

You may not want to give up CP so easily since being short 22 isn't like a horse race. If you lose a few, it's still a rolling deadline and you could gain the balance needed if you can pick up more than those that drop off. It's worth the push. Lot's of extra ways to spend money. Donations is a good one. Good luck.

I stand corrected. Though my flyer is a little ambiguous as one side says "whenever you spend $19,200 with your [card] you'll get 2 free flights automatically" and the other side says "We'll give you 32 Rapid Rewards credits instead of the usual 16 every time you spend $19,200..."
I can get up to 5 bonus tickets, though realistically for CP I would only need 3 (actually less, but no partial bonuses). So I guess that is $57,600 in spending over the next year which is a bit steep as I can't charge corporate expenses and just paid all my taxes. At a valuation of .02 per mile (or $1 spent), that's roughly $1152 for a CP + 6 RR. Tremendous ^
Any ideas? I guess I need a US mint deal.

my offer
my offer is the spend 1k per month for 3 or 4 months and get 100 gift card. I generally spend 2-5k per month so this is a no brainer for me. My annual renewal will be sometime in this time period but 100 less 59 still makes me 41 richer for not changing any behavior.

Is there any known way to prompt an offer like this? I read the thread, I understand it's targeted, but unless by dumb luck you plucked a flyer from the mailbox, has anyone else actually tried (successfully) requesting this type of offer?

I am not getting any of these bonus offers. I wonder why.
