Looks like the latest Ding! headline featured a new feature from WN.

1. you can only see Ding! fare for your registered city now. (they tested this out a while back)
2. once you go to the Ding! page with the fares on it, you can select the city pair you want to see (ie. Your City + whatever)

This still isn't the functionality that I want to see, because you still have to pull up the site, and take yet another step to filter the content. If we could just select the city pairs we want - and have access to all Ding fares, life would be better.

Try updating your registration to specify a different home airport - unless things have changed, you should get a new set of fares delivered to you after a bit (of course, you'll have to re-set to get access back to your original city pairs)

You can use the DING icon to open up the window that you then click on to get the list of specials - at the top is a very small "update registration" - use that to change your home airport. A new mail icon should pop up w/in 10 minutes or less. DING will give you an error message until then, though, so book what you want out of your home airport first. This worked for me the first time they offered targeted fares, and I was able to book a flight from non-BWI city pairs at the special rate. Hope that's still the case...

I, too don't like being so limited - especially since the next step could very well be cities AND fares targeted to each person. To the extent that they try this again, it would be useful to have a couple of people post the fares for their cities just so we can easily check and make sure they're not trying to do that.

This worked for me, allowing me to buy a trip outside my normal commute within a minute or so of the deadline. In fact, when I tried to pull up the sale again, it came up expired, so I was unable to copy the fares to post here. Thanks for posting the technique for switching home cities, and especially the part that an error message is normal for a few minutes after the change.

I checked today's Ding fares and it looks like it's gone back to the old-style unfiltered format. I tried the 'Update Registration' trick to see if there was any difference if I changed my home airport and there didn't seem to be (and I was able to check again immediately without receiving the 'error' messages)

I'm not sure what to think--I didn't like the idea of Southwest limiting the number of fare sales I knew about. But with use of the 'Update Registration' feature, even though a hassle, it seemed one could have access to a far greater number of sales at a time.

The filters are there, but the sale does not look tuned to your home city. The customized Ding sales are far more extensive, giving you many deals from your home city rather than the typical two or three.

Bought another DING! fare today. PIT-MCO-RSW $37 ticket +$21 taxes and fees each way. Right after hurricane season ends!

I'm not able to get any filtered fares at all, even if I change my home airport.

Any other way of accessing ALL Ding! fares from one particular city?

I changed my "home airport" about 4 times today, and never saw any change in the list of Ding! fares. No filters appeared to be in effect.
