Keep in mind it was this time of year in 2022 that WN announced the increase in points needs for 2023/24 CP ................so the 2024/2025 CP rules are not set in stone at 135K

That being said I would get as many points as you can via a CC SUB and not go for a lesser SUB /lower spend.

The 80K ( 85 K with spend ) Business card and 78 K Card ( with spend) personal card should get you to CP regardless of any point increase.

This is why P2 applied for WN biz card when SUB was 120k for $15k spend. We did not get the 2-yr CP but easy to complete with only one card. CP literally arrived this week and we will use it next month. We will have to cancel her personal card sometime soon, before AF hits...

What is your strategy, apply for business card first or personal card first? Or both one the same day. And yes, I have a legit small business that I file with my taxes.

This is the correct answer in every case.

Always apply first for the biz card as it does not count towards 5/24 (unless it's a Cap1 biz card).

As crazy as it may sounds legit businesses often have much more trouble getting business cards then sole proprietor startups.

Apply for Biz first, got it. Next question, apply for biz, wait to be approved then - when should one apply for personal? The next day, a few days later, a month....???

I don't see why not. They are separate cards. Just as long as you don't run a foul of the chase 5/24 rule

Quick follow-up on this... P2 applied for Personal WN card 12/2/21. It was the 50k + 50k bonus. The first 50K posted 2/20/22, the second 4/20/22. Does that mean she would not be eligible to receive a new SUB until after 4/20/24?

Thanks!

that seems to be the rule. 24 months since receiving bonus.
