It was mistakenly re-opened September 2015 due to a false rumor that Southwest had eliminated the "open to all" award search functionality in a website overhaul.
It was closed again on 27-Oct-2015 due to its continued obsolescence. Please use this URL for Award availability searches, and bookmark the URL in case you need it again in the future.
burtonmadness - one or two cities have availability past the 12th, but nothing on the 18th yet. You (anybody) can find daily availability (but not particular flights) using Southwest's award calendar.
iluvcf - the last flight outbound ONT-BWI is available on July 29; nothing from either BWI or IAD to ONT on either the first or 2nd of August.
Both of you - keep checking at least once daily. Often, award availability opens up in the week or two before the flight.

burtonmadness, have you considered custom connection opportunities? In your case there should be more possibilities, given that you indicated you wouldn't mind burning a full award for this one way. (Of course you're likely to have a less desirable itinerary than you could snag with a one-way Freedom Award.) If you use the calendar to find city pairs with award seats available on the same day, post those here (or phone CS&S) to check flight-specific availability.

Using their credits or using your credits? With your credits you just change the name. With their credits you need their RR# and password.Originally Posted by burtonmadness

You're asking a lot during peak times. The last day with standard awards available is Dec 16 into SFO, OAK or SJC. After that there are freedom awards on a few days.Originally Posted by nm00

And yes, you can cancel/change RR tickets and keep the value for use another time. The taxes paid is even refundable.
