TPA Connection Domestic Arrival to Intl Departure

Hi everyone

Arriving on AA from MIA connecting to PTY (CM) on seperate tickets, hand luggage only. I understand both flights will be on terminal F. Would someone be so kind as to explain how this works and whether 1 hour 15 minutes is sufficient under normal conditions?
Thank you!

If it's the same terminal you technically, should be able to walk directly from one gate to the next. I'm not sure how it would work with going from domestic to international without checking in for the international flight. If you have to check in for the international flight at the main desk and "not at the gate" then you won't have enough time since you will have to take the tram to the main terminal, go to the check in, go back on tram and then go through security to get to the departure gate.

The deadline to check in for a CM flight is, I believe, one hour. If the OP has to check in at the counter, there's still a chance they could make it. Fifteen minutes is, of course, tight, but doable. And of course there's a chance for an early arrival to TPA. (All of today's MIA-TPA flights have arrived early.) If they do make it to the counter on time, re-clearing security and getting back to the gate should not be an issue.

Online check in should be available, thanks for your reply.
