Frenier's was worth driving out of the way for. It was right on the water so hopefully it was high enough up to avoid the surge.

Lots of Entergy trucks staged up here in Little Rock over the weekend ready to head out to help. Hope property damage is the most of anyone's worries.

I know it's still early and they haven't had much time to do rescue missions but I'm not hearing much yet regarding loss of life. It went through some pretty sparcely populated areas for the first few hours.

Our connected New Orleans friends were told 4-6 weeks before power is fully restored to the city. Wow!

Friends say people with ATT cell service are unable to send and receive calls/texts. Not sure how wide spread, they are in Marigny.

I'm hearing it's all of SELA from BTR down past New Orleans having AT&T issues.

Also, Entergy's transmission lines fell in the river so there is no way to get power into New Orleans. City council is on Fox8 now talking about how long it will take to get power back up and running.

EDIT: Here's the downed lines at the Mississippi

Hate to hear that. All my Nola proper friends got by with minimal damage but know multiple people in Baton Rouge, Prarieville and on the Northshore with trees on their homes/roofs ripped off.

Let us know if we can do anything to help.

That's awful. My sister lost a bit of her roof (Lakeview Canal blvd area) but not the whole thing.
