For Taylor Swift weekend, the RTA increased frequency on the 202-Airport Express route from every 90 minutes to every 30 minutes. It was announced late and not well publicized, so I doubt many Swifties took advantage of it, but I can't recall them doing that for any other big event.

We had the best day with you! Sunday, October 27, 2024 was MSYs busiest day ever for scheduled commercial flights with 32,134 departing passengers processed through the security checkpoint following Taylor Swifts concerts in New Orleans. The previous record for scheduled commercial flights was 27,972 departing passengers processed through the checkpoint on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

In terms of other music last weekend, it didnt seem to me that any of the Swifties made it to the Tin Men / Morning 40 Federation show at Santos Bar on Saturday night (even though it was crowded), but there was a good crowd of what appeared to be tourists at The Maison to see Aurora Nealand earlier in the evening (or was that Sunday; I cant remember!).

Was looking to take the new direct Alaska MSY-PDX but not finding anything past May. Does anyone know if this is a seasonal only offering or if they just aren't releasing flight schedules that far in advance? I could have sworn I saw the November flight offered when I searched a month or two ago.

Were continuing to improve safety and the passenger experience at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport thanks to Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding. This year we were awarded an additional S8 million towards constructing a dedicated roadway connecting the terminal to the south campus parking and rental car facilities to help reduce carbon emissions, enhance safety and connect the terminal to future transit/passenger rail facilities.
