The previous record for scheduled commercial flights was 27,972 departing passengers processed through the checkpoint on Sunday, April 14, 2024.
I dont normally go to the French Market, but I went on Saturday to support Sarah Quintana, who was playing there on Saturday afternoon. I had no problem driving to and parking on Chartres in the Marigny, but was amazed by the crowd of Swifties at the French Market. Still, they were well behaved and seemed to enjoy Sarahs performance. I do kinda wish they had sought out some of our local restaurants for lunch rather than eat French Market food, which may be local but not in the same sense. Still, not a terrible experience.

In terms of other music last weekend, it didnt seem to me that any of the Swifties made it to the Tin Men / Morning 40 Federation show at Santos Bar on Saturday night (even though it was crowded), but there was a good crowd of what appeared to be tourists at The Maison to see Aurora Nealand earlier in the evening (or was that Sunday; I cant remember!).

Was looking to take the new direct Alaska MSY-PDX but not finding anything past May. Does anyone know if this is a seasonal only offering or if they just aren't releasing flight schedules that far in advance? I could have sworn I saw the November flight offered when I searched a month or two ago.

This question is perhaps better suited to the AS forum.

According to a nola.com article thats behind a pay wall, this project is moving forward.
