Miami 4th July suggestions

3 of us will be in Miami this summer from 3rd to 5th July (and again a bit later).

Does anyone have any suggestions / recommendations re what to do on 4th July?

Any particular events worth going to?

any restaurant recommendations in Miami Beach for that night?

thanks in advance.

I believe the City of Fort Lauderdale puts on or used to put on a fireworks show off the coast which could be watched from the beach.

Other than that, there are a ton of venues down here that launch massive fireworks shows that can be viewed for free for miles.

Unless your group are partiers or the clubber type, I'd avoid South Beach. Just a tourist trap full of night clubs, overpriced boutiques and hotels.

Where in Miami. The Biltmore in Coral Gables has fireworks with an outside bar and restaurant. Getting in and out should be easier than SoBe which will a total zoo.
