SCL transit question
Hi all, in a few weeks I will be going to Argentina for about 8 days and on the way back I am flying from EZE to SCL to MIA with a very long layover in SCL. I beleive my arriving flight lands in SCL around 9:30 am with the departing flight leaving at 9pm. My flight is entirely on LAN. Can I check my luggage all the way through from EZE to MIA and leave the airport between my layover and get to see the city of Santiago? I understand there is a fee of 100 which I will have to pay, but all I allowed to enter Chile and spend the day there with my bags checked through? Alternatively, are there lockers at SCL I could use if I cannot check luggage all the way through?

I would think your bags will be checked through w/no problem. I don't know if your BPs will print that early, but probably they will. You'll have to pay a departure fee @ EZE and an entry fee to Chile. Make sure you arrive SCL for possibly lengthy exit migration lines for flights at that time. If you are in the front cabin, there is a premium check-in room @SCL should you need any special services at the far left end of the main terminal building. If for any reason your bags are checked through only to SCL and you want to enter Chile, I'd just go through customs, get my bags, and go up to the premium check-in area back upstairs, where I'm sure they'll take care of you.

Lengthy exit migration lines can be avoided by using the Immigration counter by LAN's premium check-in area. Generally you can get through there whether or not you're traveling J or F.
There's a baggage storage area ("Custodia") on the arrivals level of the terminal.
