Skyteam logo seen on China Southern flight
Several days, I posted a reply in NW forum regarding Skyteam logo on China Southern monitor.

Now it has been confirmed that it's only an internal test in China Southern. Per Skyteam regulation, China Southern is not allowed to use Skyteam logo now. In the mean while, it seems that Star Alliance has a different rule: Air China is painting the little star onto their fleets even though it's not yet passed requirements for entering *A. China Southern successfully passed the first round review by evaluation team from other ST airlines in July. The entering date has been set to November. However, the exact date has not yet been fixed due to 1) preparation of entering alliance and 2) schedule of CEOs of alliance airlines. There definitely will be a big ceremony for China Southern because China is so important to Skyteam and China Southern is the tenth largest airline (may be 9th this year) in the world.

just can't wait until CZ is joining Skyteam! Have earned quite a lot of miles this year through CZ, but unfortunately all of them are not status miles...
