So that is basically 2 weeks away. Here is my question: why are they all keeping this a secret? Why isn't this information, which has been antivcipated for two plus years now, all over multiple different websites?

KQ in ScaryTeam

I cannot speak at all for the others. Perhaps someone should ask them ?

I did try approach KLM Communications dept via email, but all I got from them was "Who was I and why did I want to know this info?"

I cannot say why this info is not being spread across evry travel website linked to existing (and also the new) members !!

It is possible they have media event planned--perhaps Sept. 1? and don't want to spoil the surprise.

As I have said previously, after waiting since June 2005, when it really happens will be quite anticlimactic.

A bit off topic, no?

Besides, if past performance is any kind of indication of the future, you will still be waiting in 2009.

This is good news.
Out of curiousity I searched and found this document unrelated to this topic with this related statement that was made in April '07
According to Kenya Airways Commercial Director, Hugh Fraser: “We are working towards our associate membership of the SkyTeam Alliance and it is important that we standardise our operations, technology and products. By adopting Altéa Reservation we achieve this and also facilitate easy integration of our systems with those of our partners, better positioning us to take advantage of alliance membership.
Our IT systems are now able to adapt to our business needs and continue to support our commercial strategy.”
Any chance Mr Okwiri's writing can be seen on the web? Is it on their website?

Why don't you email your contact at KQ and ask him why there has been virtually nothing in the way of official announcements as of yet? Ask him if 9/04 is indeed the date, what is the purpose of keeping it a secret?

I just flew KQ a few days ago, is it possible to have the miles credited to any of the SkyTeam members (I didn't add it to any ff program)?
