Question about booking KE in C
I have found a flight I want to buy BKK-LAX connecting in ICN and HNL. I am hoping to get a one night stopover in ICN. I emailed the itn itinerary to a local travel agent who tells me there are no stopovers allowed on the quoted fare. But according to the booking rules on ITN Korean in C says "unlimited free stopvers permitted". And one the outbound trip I was able to make free changes and stops on the same itinerary. Can I book this and be confident I can stopver by calling the airline?

You could try pricing it out on ITN as a multi-city with a stop in ICN and seeing if it stays as a single BKK-LAX trip under the same fare basis.

KE usually accomodates you at Hyatt very close to the airport- great place to stay. Recently did CDG-ICN-NAN in Q and the hotel was indeed included even for Economy. This is not the case if another operator such as AF operates a KE-coded flight though. My spouse flew home on AF metal due to schedules, but my room was big enough for both of us
Plan was to do Seoul by night but it was both far and expensive to get there.
Someone in the know might want to fill in on decent transportation alternatives to downtown Seoul?!
[QUOTE=karthik]I'm not sure about the stopover, but I thought I'd add this in: apparently KE will provide free overnight accomodations for J/F passengers connecting through ICN with an overnight layover (only on revenue tickets; I called to check about this on an award ticket and was told no, which is fair enough.) Not sure if this counts for a stopover, but if you manage to book something with an overnight they may well do so even if it exceeds 24 hours... cheap way to check out Seoul for a night! I'd check with KE on that one of course.
