Alaska Airlines??
So anyone know if AS will become SkyTeam? It code-shares with CO DL NW, as well as AA. Hope they don't become OneWorld....

Alaska code shares and has reciprocal milage agreements with just about everyone including AA, AF, Big Sky, BA, CO, CX, DL, Era Aviation, HA, KL, LAN, NW, PenAir, and QF!
Looks to me that they are just as likely to join OW as Skyteam.
I don't expect them to join any alliance.

I doubt it, they seem very well placed int hier niche market and they already codeshare with so many different carriers - if it ain't broken don't fix it.

after returning to KL and now AF it looks like ST is closer than OW. Anyway, as long as the reciprocal earning works, who cares (ok, I guess EQMs would be nice).

You do get EQM on AS flights when you credit to NW Worldperks:
Elite Qualifying Fare Classes
Elite Qualifying Miles at 150%: F, Y, B
Elite Qualifying Miles at 100%: M, H, Q, V, L, T, K ,G, S, U
Elite Qualifying Segments: F, Y, B (M, H, Q, V, L, T, K, G, S, U)

One Minor hiccup - AS doesn't officially offer non AS Elites early boarding. As a general rule I've been able to board early as a NW Gold but every once in a while I run into a GA who says only AS MVP/Gs can board early.
On the plus side for NW elites though - as far as I know only NW Elites have a shot at AS upgrades. Granted its a relatively small chance since its basically upgrade at the gate based on availability - but I get it about 1/4 of the time. Oh - its also based on certs and NW Elites only get 8 AS certs a year on request.
