Re wonderful experience on Delta
This past weekend I flew RT on Delta to Atlanta. I havent flown on Delta for quite some time. I was expecting an overall negative attitude due to the potential labor action/contract issues.
I was pleasantly surprised by the extremely courteous ck in crew as well as the flight attendants. I will also share some insight...I showed up around 1pm for my 830pm flight; hoping to fly standby for a flight. I didnt realize Delta charges $25 to fly standby-apparently you then have a guaranteed seat? I was advised that only one seat was available on the 2pm flight and it was in first class. I asked her how much to upgrade to first class, she explained about the add'l cost and then said, well, let's see if I can do it for $25. She worked her magic...not only did I fly out earlier, I was upgraded to first. I am not an elite flyer with Delta, at this time; however, her wonderful assistance and the extremely attentive first class cabin attendant created a customer evangelist. Thank you Delta for a great flight, I look forward to my next flight-whether that is in coach or up front...
p.s. I did fill out a comment card complimenting the first class attendant, I was amazed how many times she walked up and down the aisle asking people if they wanted refills/extra snacks/etc. ^

Great to hear it. A first class upgrade? Excellent.
Maybe this would be better served as some inspiration in the Delta forum. Let's show all those naysayers why we choose Deta.
