need help deciding
Ok fellow SkyTeam flyers... I just got back from an EXCELLENT trip to Palau courtesy of DL miles, now on to my next adventure!
Facts:
Trip is for 2007
I have 315k miles as of 8/05
I accrue appx 75k/miles/year
Requirements:
minimum bus class
excellent diving destination
two days layover somewhere cool to catch up with jetlag
possibilities of getting an award need to be decent
Here are my options and I need feedback:
1. Maldives
I can go using Emarites from NY-Dubai using 120k bus/160k first, then either pay for ticket to MAL or use another 40/85/125k to MAL in coach/bus/first. My layover can be in Dubai for 2 days. Ticket can be tricky to get. Availability is tight, but not as bad as Singapore.
or... I can use Malaysian through Kuala Lumpur for 120 bus/140 first. Availability wide open and widely available
2. Bikini- Marshall Islands
I can use the CO/NW/DL through Guam to MAJ using 120 bus/140 first. Availability is tricky, but doable.
3. Nadi Fiji
I can go KA through Seoul using 150 bus/200 first. Availability looks excellent
Whatcha think?????

I think the answer is quite easy.
A SQ F award seems to be in order. I don't know why you would bother with a NW/CO/DL J award. They do fly to Male, Maldives as mentioned in your other thread. Something like JFK-FRA-SIN-Male would be great in F, giving you the Skysuite all the way to Singapore. You could even throw a few days in SIN for a little shopping too.
I'd start by going to the Singapore Airlines Krisflyer Forum and start doing a little research. I believe Megatop Lover is experienced in booking SQ award travel with DL miles.
