Best Skyteam Member to Kuwait?

I'm planning a trip to Kuwait in the fall, and having never planned a trip to this region before, I'm not sure which Skyteam member to go to for planning this flight. I usually fly Delta but they don't appear to fly there. Any suggestions or recommendations?

It looks like both Air France and KLM fly from Paris (CDG) and Amsterdam (AMS) respectively.

Depending on where you're flying from, you might want to base your decision on which airport is more pleasant to transit.

A quick check of the SkyTeam timetable would tell you that the only reasonable operating carriers from the U.S. are KL and AF. NW and CO codeshare on some of those flights.

I am also going to Kuwait this winter, and was looking for a SkyTeam Partner to get there. KLM flies daily into KWI. I believe it is an afternoon departure from AMS and then the aircraft turns around and goes back around 0300 or 0400. AF is a 3/week. I believe its Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. If you are looking to earn DL miles, Emirates might also be an option through DBX. In our planning, we found that it was maybe not the best bet to use SkyTeam, and instead are flying DL to LGW, and then BA LHR-KWI. BA has better times in and out of KWI, IMO. And they fly a 777 as opposed to KL's 763 and AF's A319 (which is a very small airplane for that trip) BA and KL though, are the only European airlines that fly daily into KWI I believe.
