SR and SkyTeam??
Failed strategies, CEO resignations at SR and its French subsidiary, SR in talks with *A, 1W, and SkyTeam, hungry for an alliance. I say rejoining SkyTeam is most likely, if the financial pain forces a decision ... but what a trilemma: BA, LH, or AF as dance partners. BA is too big in CH already, and LH would blur identities. I hope SR realizes that ALOT of DL traffic would go to it rather than AF if it teamed with DL again.

I flew SR last month SFO-ZEH and back, and the planes were half empty (more than half coming back).
I never saw that in the DL partnership days, even in the dead of winter.
If SR alligns with Skyteam, maybe I will start flying DL again.

Very interesting.
I think that SR acted to rapidly by breaking away from DL after their deal with AF. The SR/DL partnership worked very well, but they did need some more and bigger partners. AF is very attractive because of its size, routes and CDG hub. If SR joins SkyTeam then I think that SN is dead.
I have been using SR a lot on SFO-ZRH when they partnered with DL, but now I go via ATL, JFK or with AF (if I can get a seat). But it is not only SR that suffer - DL has a hard time filling the flights to ZRH and BRU.
If SR comes back to DL, it will make them attractive for new partners in Asia.
The reason SR went to AA was probably because of Katz (he left too).
We are in for an interesting time....
