Crediting points without a ticket: which program?
So a slightly odd problem I have.
Due to where I live and the travel I do I am a heavy user of Star Alliance airlines and fairly regular with OneWorld.
However, due to some travel recently in Asia and scheduling of airlines I would have liked to fly, I ended up on a China Southern flight in F class. Apart from some flights about a year ago on Garuda (which I didn't bother crediting due to them not being in any alliance and it being unlikely I'll fly with them regularly) it is the first time in recent history I've flown on a SkyTeam airline.
Despite it being unlikely my travel patterns will change in a major way in the next year or two, I'm loathe to not credit my CZ F flight anywhere.
Given my pattern of flying I figured the best place to park the miles was with Delta.
But here's the slightly complicating factor. In my rush to get off the plane I appear to have lost/left my ticket behind.
I contacted China Southern to get the ticket number hoping that would be enough, but to no avail. When I went to the Delta website to retrocredit I discovered that retrocrediting flights from partner airlines requires you to post/fax in your ticket. Certainly not something I'm used to with the comparatively 21st century NZ and QF programs.
So I tried to credit to Flying Blue where I also have an account, from an unsuccessful attempt to get a status match. Same problem.
So my question is, is there a program I can credit this flight to that doesn't require me to have the actual ticket? I have all the relevant details: flight number, seat number, ticket number, cities etc, just not the ticket.
Preference is obviously for a program where either the points don't expire (like Delta) or they can be kept active by semi-regular activity (like QF's program keeping all points valid with activity every 18 months). I should be able to do this with the occasional flight with China Southern, AF/KLM, Garuda or Vietnam Airlines. It will also need to be a program that allows crediting from before sign-up. The flight was about a week ago.
Thanks, and apologies for the long post.

Fax your BPs and a brief note and include a printed copy of the CC statement you paid for the ticket with (assuming it was not with cash you paid) showing the transaction and ticket number to Delta at 1 404 715 9220. I have had very, very good luck through the years with credits from partner airlines to my DL account amid many quirks such as what you mention above. They do need to see some evidence that a ticket was purchased. IIRC my cc statement has worked before.
I have to ask though...no electronic copy of the ticket? I did not know not having one was even possible anymore.

Sorry I wasn't clear - when I was talking about "ticket" I should gave said "boarding pass"
Apologies for confusion.

Delta used to list a fax number on their site, so this is new:

Looks like all you'll need is your Skymiles number and ticket number.
Let us know how you go. I always had my miles credited when previously requesting on the fax number, so interested to see how you go.
