They really aren't. Certainly compared with DL 763s TATL.

KL (AF, etc.) are not that bad in J, but compared to the EK hard/soft product in business, they are second-tier.

I can't think of any carrier that really shines in Y. TG and SQ are better than many, but it's still coach (humane cattle class, perhaps?)

Their short-haul intra-europe in-flight service blows the water out of any DL CRJ flights I've been on.
With most flights under 60 minutes in the air, including climb and descent, I usually get 3 drink refills plus a sandwich in Y (which does not cause renal failure after 3 hours like most airplane food).
TATL I can't say as I always have Delta operated flights.

I have several Bulgarian friends who told me stories about flying on "real" russian commercial aircraft. They told me it was the scariest thing you've ever experienced and to never do it. They said certain rows are missing random seats just because they don't put in the maintenance and during take-off all these bumps, booms, and burps occur.
Even if aeroflot has modern planes I now refuse to fly them.

Good to hear, I was thinking about that.

dl.dumb is report KL flights using an MD-11 which sounded depressing. seatguru tho says that their Y cabin is actually slightly better than many modern aircract. Can anyone comment on this?

Just noticed you can credit Emirates skywards points to KE, anyone have ideas for shenas to get those into sky-pesos?

EDIT:
and now I'm just spamming, but I thought a few folks might be interested in the promoted adult beverages on emirates

KE doesn't know the meaning of customer service and has probably just lost a lot of business, especially for people involved or following this thread. After this debacle, I will never fly KE.

Just did JFK-SVO-KBP and return on SU. The JFK-SVO equipment (A330) was new and very nice with good IFE. SVO-KBP was a nightmare. On all the flights, the Food sucked and service was abysmal. If they weren't so cheap and earned MQM, I'd have probably gone with another carrier.

Some of the regional jet (or turboprop) Y is probably borderline inhumane! On the UA forum the CRJ200 is affectionately dubbed the Devil's Chariot

I wasn't involved with purchasing that fare but I'll avoid KE anyway in solidarity with those who were royally screwed by them!
