Newbie question on Lounge Access for SkyTeam
This is a long shot but I figured if anyone can come up with a creative solution it would be this forum.
My wife and I will be going on the following trip later this year. I'd like to use a lounge in CDG to shower (I've read some lounges are equipped with showers) and to rest for the ~5 hour layover on the first leg from ORD to DXB. I'd also like to potentially use the lounge on the way back to Chicago at CDG (notice I'll be flying from DXB to CDG and staying there for a couple days), but that isn't as important as the first leg. What are my options? I don't have any status with Delta. I have about 12K+ miles accrued over the years. I am willing to apply for a Delta SkyMiles credit card if that helps with access but I can't seem to find any that outline lounge access specfically.
I don't think a one day pass will work because according to this chart, one day pass holders are not allowed in CDG lounges.

If you select "30 Day Sky Club Member" from the drop down menu on your link, the AF lounge in 2E is available to you.
The 30 day pass costs $90 and depending on when your return is, you should get access in both directions, and you'll also access the Chicago AF lounge on departure - https://www.delta.com/help/faqs/delt...ndex.jsp#trial

djnotepad, you should check the AirFrance website and read the lounges access policy. If you do not have any frequent flyer status with SkyTeam AND you are not flying first/business or premium economy, you unfortunately cannot access the AF lounges, even by paying with either miles or money

And by what he is saying, I don't think he can access any lounge in CDG.As far as me, I am Gold medallion and I thought I could enter any lounge in CDG even with a low fare economy ticket, is that right? That's what AF website states..

Again, the DL website expressly says that this is a lounge that can be accessed by SkyClub members. There are non-SkyClubs where DL has arranged for their members to have access. I agree that given AF's track record for admitting people who have a clear right to enter, it's a bit uncertain as to whether it will work out, but you're misstating the published rules.
