RTW in J or F - which program for status?

I am in the process of planning an RTW adventure in J or F class. Which Skyteam program would be best for attaining status ?

This is an easy question, but only in the sense that it is pretty easy to ask it.

For helping you with an answer, we would need more information.

1. You would have to tell us what you expect statuswise (each Skyteam programme has different perks that come with the status). Or are you just interested in becoming ST E or ST E+?
2. Also you should take into account that having status is typically most beneficial if you primarily fly with the airline with the programme of which you have status.
3. Regarding your RTW trip, it would be helpful to know the routing because it would then be possible to consider the different options of earning miles with different programmes and, based on this information, look at the status level you could attain with these programmes.

Back to you. :-)

General recommendation is the one you will get ticket from.

There are relatively good earnings on some strange combinations. Aeroflot credits 250% on AF C. That booked on AF ticket (DL codeshare) in combination with AF flight in Z earns much more on SU Bonus than on DL itself.

IMHO it is not relevant which airline you get the ticket from. All RTW tickets within Skyteam have the same price independent of the ticketing airline and an AF-coded flight, for ex, will always book into the same AF booking class, independent of who issues the ticket. Your codeshare remark is still relevant, I think, but using codeshares is always possible no matter who issues the ticket. (Unless RTW tickets do not allow code-shares at all, in which case the ticketing airline would not be relevant either.)

In any case, without knowing the routing (and the other missing information) we cannot give any reliable answer. (And without the OP being willing to do some homework that we tell him/her to do. Otherwise we would sit on this question for ages.)

Very simple itinerary

I am looking at a very simple itinerary US-EU with 2 stops in EU - ASIA- with 2stops in ASIA- US. Will be in business class and be just over the minimum stay length requirement. Not looking to max out segments. Just trying to figure out which program will net me the highest status on such an itinerary. Thanks for any suggestions/hints.

Unfortunately, you have not really answered my questions yet.

1. Regarding routing: How many miles will you fly? Where exactly do you want to travel? Any preferences for specific airlines? Or would you take any airline just to maximise your status? Would you be willing to fly much longer just to fly with an airline to maximise your miles? Would you be willing to pay more for your ticket because of this?
2. What do you mean by "highest status"? Is, for example, Flying Blue Gold higher for you than Delta's gold status or would they be equal?

If you would like to have help, you will have to provide more facts.
