How many Flight Segments??

How many Flight Segments??
Out of interest does anyone know how many flight segments you receive if a flight makes a "technical" stop.
For example Im flying AMS - DOH on KLM. It makes a stop at DMM, each part of the flight has the same flight number 439. So does it count as 1 flight segment towards my Flying Blue status or 2 because it makes a stop?
Hope that makes sense?

I think pretty much every airline only doesn't count technical stops, one flight number equals one segment. For example, on Qantas QF 107 is the code for the SYD-LAX-JFK flight and it is counted as one segment, even though you change aircraft at LAX. If you take on of their other SYD-LAX flights and then connect to 107 at LAX, it counts as two.

It does for us who want to collect miles. It doesn't for the evil brains behind the FB program who keep 'enhancing' -read: downgrading- the program! 
But this is not AFKL specific as specified earlier so don't go mad on FB (for this issue at least).

I'm pretty sure that they will see it only as one segment as long as you only got one boarding card for the flight incl. the fuel stop.
I'm not so sure for flights that are marketed as direct flights with one flightnumber but consist of two completely different segments in different planes. IIRC I once had such a flight on NW from FRA via DTW to SFO and got two separate boarding cards with the same flight number and two mileage credits.

The only program I know of that credits direct flights as individual segments is UA's Mileage Plus.
CO will if you book it as two separate flights (e.g. IAH-SEA + SEA-ANC rather than IAH-SEA) but otherwise you'd still have two BPs and still only get one credit.
